About this place
Whether you are looking to fill up on a hearty meal or unwind over a drink with a few small bites, Ebisu, an izakaya in Edogawa Ward's Shishibone neighborhood, offers an unpretentious welcome. In its calm setting, an extensive menu ranges from homestyle set meals to savory small dishes ideal for pairing with drinks.
The teishoku (set meal) choices are diverse, featuring seafood favorites like an assorted sashimi plate alongside grilled fish sets with choices such as salted mackerel, red rockfish (akodai), or salted salmon. There is also a satisfying roster of classics that pair naturally with rice, including ginger pork, tonkatsu, fried chicken karaage, and a stir-fry of eggplant and bell pepper.
The à la carte items designed to accompany beer and other alcoholic drinks are just as inviting, letting diners assemble spreads of homemade chashu pork, freshly fried tempura, breaded fried oysters, fluffy omelets, or refreshing julienned nagaimo yam.
The dining room provides an easygoing atmosphere where solo guests can comfortably settle in and enjoy unhurried table service. Please note that payment is cash-only, and the venue accommodates evening visits as well as advance reservations.
